Sophia herself represents the human soul.

Sophia longs to return to the Divine Light, but she becomes separated from it after looking outside herself. She falls into the lower realms of confusion and illusion, where she experiences suffering and forgetfulness. Yet even in her darkest moments, she never stops calling out for the Light.

Her prayers are answered.

Step by step, she is lifted out of darkness and restored to her rightful place.

Spiritually, this is the journey every awakened soul experiences.

Many of us spend years searching outside ourselves—for approval, certainty, religion, possessions, or someone else to complete us. Eventually, we realize that everything we have been seeking has always existed within us. Awakening is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who we have always been.

The Pistis Sophia teaches that spiritual growth is a process of purification. As we heal old wounds, release fear, and let go of limiting beliefs, our consciousness naturally rises. We begin to see through the illusions of the material world and reconnect with our true divine nature.
